How much did you have to polish them down?

Not those ones, that is so expensive. I'm in contact with a company that has some totaly clear 'Beta test' lexian units that I may be able to get to test and evaluate. Failing that I will most likely repaint mine and put them back on.

Default Nice Job

G'day Grug, nice work to date!

Can I ask how you find the Rizoma mirrors to actually see out of & why you didn't go for a integrated tail/turn light?

I'm thinking of these two mods on mine, legally an issue here with the turn-signals, but I haven't been pulled for any of the other mods (yet) so weighing up "looks over legality" so to speak ;D

If you can tell me where you got the little indicators & any kit to hold it in place that would be good!

I draw filed them till they were all flat and even with each other and sharp edges, other wise the paint will creep under the masking. Also makes for a nice sharp look on the letter edges when finished. I polished using 240 grit up to 1200 grit, and then repolished after paint with 2000 grit.(be careful to get all sanding strokes in the same direction or it will look crap)

How's this project going? I was thinking of ceramic coating my exhaust, but from what I understand it holds heat in so my carbon fiber cans would maybe run a little hotter. Still need to do a little research there. The belt covers are just plastic, like everyone else black would look great, but nothing shiny, your local auto parts store should carry the 3m 'trim black'. I'm working on opening my belt covers up first. If you are considering this, I would also consider painting the other engine covers to match. I know you posted this topic a few months ago, maybe you've already finished. Post pictures!!

I have just ordered this speedo and will strip off the old gauges and mount the new one in the headlight bucket. Will also raise the headlight on new brackets. Only down side is the loss of tacho, but I will just put in a redline LED light indicator.

I can't figure out how to post pics in a post, but have a 4 pic gallery showing the bike in mostly current form.

I did pull and paint the clutch cover and timing belt covers- it makes a huge difference, especially on a black bike it looks much better. Ill post pics soon
