Partly, what you then need to do is copy the links to the images, and then paste them in the thread in between the following commands: [img] [/img]

That will allow your images to appear like this:

Before the the paint job on the covers, i draw filed the letters to flat and polished the letters with a cork sanding block to make the final job easier. I masked the letters to a very high detail using a scalpel. Once painted, i masked the surrounding paint with many layers of tape so as to protect against sanding through and then proceeded to repolish the letters.

As for the item under the cans, that is the rear center stand leg.

next mods I plan to do are a set of spoked wheels, tank expansion retaining the ducati shape but gaining about 4ltrs and losing the gauges for a tiny led read out.

I am in a similar situation looking to paint my clutch cover and timing belt cover- I was lucky enough to have a car knock me over while parked.

I wanted to see if you ever did it and how it went. what paint to use, how much to polish etc.

Also- did you pull the clutch cover to paint it or did you do it on the bike? If you pulled it did you have to use a torque wrench to re-mount?

Hey mflood, Yes you need to pull the covers off, as for the torque wrench I don't know as I had mine done while they were off at the shop due to repairs. it would be a good idea to use one as alluminium is way too easy to strip. Oh and while it is off, get S/S bolts to replace the old ones, cosst little but looks great. As for the belt covers I'm currently running without but am hoping on getting a set of lexian clear ones.
