right off hand i don't know which particular filters are the "right ones."

that said, i would recommend you talk to chris @ www.ca-cycleworks.com. he's on the board, too.

K&N RU-1400's are the closest fit I've found, but you'll have to trim the one corner of the battery tray to make them fit the bike. (as well as fab-up a coil mount for the H cylinder...)

Hi krell800
How did it go putting on the pods to the 800?
What K&N pod did you use?
Did it run ok/good or did it need retuning & or extras to make it run?
I have a stock 05 S2R 800.
The pipe that runs from the airbox to a box at the back of the bike , what did you do with the hole in the box at the back leave it or plug it up?
Thanks for you help in advance mate [thumbsup]

I ended up putting a tiny air filter on it from AutoZone. It puffs a little oil everyonce in awhile if you don't do anything about it. I figured the air filter will let the air escape, and the oil will drain backwards. No problems so far.

Ive said it before, that TPO kit is a Fuckin ripoff! 250$ for two 30$ filters and some metal brackets, oh but the velocity stacks, yatta yatta yatta...

please people save your money! buy the universal filters and some metal for brackets!

I was talking to a Ducati service guy today asking him about pods & other things what he said was pods are fine but will need a PC III or sim if i go down this path.
It would run better with Stacks inside the pod & how different hights of the stacks can affect top or bottom end power, now the TPO was never suggested at all.
I did not even look at the above TPO site till just now. now i have a even better understanding of what he was telling me.

runner length on the intake does play a pretty big role, im not sure if Ive got this backwards or not but i believe the longer the intake tube the more low end power, thats the rational behind an air box iirc, basically you have that big box of air to be immediately sucked into the engine once you open the throttle.
