Well after talking it over with shops in CA, NY, FL, and my local shops here in MN and several people right here in the forum. I have come to two conclusions. 1.) Buying tires is a pain in the butt 2.) Everyone has there own damn opinion that contradicts every other persons opinion.

However, I talked to so many people that the majority said they them selves ride the Stradas, but would like to try the Road Attacks next time perhaps. It seems that everyone knows a little something about the RA's but only few have ridden them. Few had anything bad to say about them but could not comment from their own experience. After hearing how excellent the Stradas were from multiple Duc Monster owners I had to follow the clan since these will be going on my 1996 M900. They said they have great traction on sand, gravel, and rain......many had said they were coming up on their 9k-13k mile and still in good condition. That in it self was impressive. I'm looking for a tire that lasts more then 3-5k and the Strada seems to be it. I to might try the Conti RA's when my Stradas are free of rubber but I think it will be a while. Here are the places I shopped on line.

http://www.cyclegear.com

I ended up purchasing the Stradas from http://www.sporttour.com/

I couldn't find the Continental Road Attacks cheaper than this place http://www.derbycycles.com/

Hope this helps you out!

I just wore out my 2nd Rear Pirelli Diablo Corsa III. Approx 2600mi each. My riding style (Unbreakable Bad habit) has me gearing down too early.
I ride in the hills in Upstate NY and have to be carefull not to lean too much on the many blind corners (dirt, turkeys, deer, idiots in cars...). So my tires don't get a lot of side work, but get VERY flat in the center - QWIK ! ! !

These tires give me GR8 feel when I switched, and I will not switch to another brand for risk of "changing" my bike again. I had the Michelin OEMs and they sucked compared to the Diablo IIIs. A whole new bike it was. Very predictable, sticky on all the various crappy asphalts in NY, and some nice sliding with really good feel through the rear and the bars. They hold dusty and dirt roads in a predictable manner when necessary.
Again, I have to work and gearing down later in the rev-range and try keeping them "round" longer.

Because of the qwik wear, I am going with the slightly harder Rosso this time around (Corsa III still on in front wiyh 6000mi - Please note: The Corsa III in the front is NOT a dual compound, triple zone construction - only the rear). The Rosso is about $35.00 cheaper too! - Pays for mount and balance!.
Dennis Kirk for reliability and customer service - within $2.00 on best price including delivery.

There is the new technology on the entire "Hyper Street" line by Pirelli, so lets see how that goes.
Visit the Pirelli site - decent info vs online retailers.

Would I recommend the Corsa III - YES! Be warned, as soon as you see the flat on center - they are DONE. The carcass is not far away.

Uh Humm... Rubber Down ladies and gents - have a GR8 summer to all in the North. And you b--tards that have all warm weather - I'm just jealous.

First thoughts before i got the S2r im gonna put the bike down with the Pirellis on.
coz my first set of Pirelli's were crap on the FZR600W, went to Bridgestone BT50, man they were a great tyre for this bike.
The Pirelli Diablos.
Only done 1000km so far but wow the Diablos are also a top tyre, wet & dry conditions.
I'll do a update as time goes on.

OK one nail & 5000ks later, still love'n the Diablos & Still lots of rubber on it
Rickoz
5900Ks & a second nail
ok what i've noticed so far
Can easly slip around when cold but when warm,
Have pushed the bike/tyres to the limit that i can today with the nail.
& i still say WOW

19th Jan 2007 Just have come back from a 700km ride.
So now the S2R has done 8000km in total.
The ride was a mostly of fast long roads & about 150 or so Km's of 20/30/40km corners.
Im still saying WOW to the Pirelli Diablos.
They Still have many Kms left in them yet.
Rickoz
Ok I had to replace the rear Pirelli Diablo Corsa at 8250km .
Due to the third nail Still had heeps of tread on it.
But replaced it with the New Pirelli Diablo CorsaIII tire.
So i'll update on this one from time to time
Rickoz
Ok Time for a report on how i liked or disliked my Second Rear tyre the CorsaIII's, coz i'm up for a new rear tyre but still have the original Front & it's still good at 18,000Km.
Ok the tyre just was not as good as the first one not as sticky hot or cold.
Never felt as safe on it or i've just been riding it harder?
If i had a choice id rather buy the CorsaII not the III's But i can't
Hmm not sure now what to get, but i did get 10,000km out of them sh!t give it a bit & watch out if the road is cold (no sun all day) makes me feel like i have too much power loose traction at a flick of the wrist

new to this forum and am ready to get a new set of tires. I have michelin road tires now and am thinking of keeping them with the road 2ct or upgrading to the pilot power or maybe power 2ct. If this is ridden on the street but to the twisties occasionally what pressures do yall run to keep mileage up but still want the best traction..... and what would yall go with as far as the road 2ct power and power 2ct? TIA

Well ive ridden on the Michelin pilot power 2ct tires for about 2-300 miles now coming from pilot road tires, not the road 2ct. First thing right off the bat is these tires turn in WAY faster than the road tires. If you want quicker turn in without messing with suspension this is def. the tire for you. If you already think your bike turns in too quick or is twitchy you will prolly need to adjust preload or raise the fork in the triple trees to adjust for this tire.
Michelin reps say 32-34psi cold setting front and rear for street AND track.
Great tire but I can still get the rear out, Im gonna try the Corsa 3 next to compare
