Before the the paint job on the covers, i draw filed the letters to flat and polished the letters with a cork sanding block to make the final job easier. I masked the letters to a very high detail using a scalpel. Once painted, i masked the surrounding paint with many layers of tape so as to protect against sanding through and then proceeded to repolish the letters.

As for the item under the cans, that is the rear center stand leg.

next mods I plan to do are a set of spoked wheels, tank expansion retaining the ducati shape but gaining about 4ltrs and losing the gauges for a tiny led read out.
