I would leave the gap it still looks good. If you cut the bars, two problems exist. First, you cant go back to stock. Second, you change your mirror location in relation to your view. It sucks to do something you regret later. Third option buy another set of handlebars so then you can at least go back to stock. Awesome looking bike by the way.
