northbound anything on fridays around 5 is a parking lot. when i was living central austin my drive north in the AM and south in the PM was smooth sailin. then again i exited pre 51st where the dtown traffic started.
I lived off Koenig/2222 which was pretty sweet getting to either mopac or 35 or hell even scootin over to 360 on the fun part of that route through the hills west of town.
you'll love austin, but not it's traffic.
