Say it ain't so! This seriously bums me out. I was thinking they were just waiting to put the finishing touches on a replacement... So pardon me while I rant:
EVERY other serious motorcycle manufacturer has an upper-end ST machine; BMW, Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Moto Guzzi, Triumph... even Aprilla for cryin' out loud!
WTH 
A new Monster, the Hypermotard and a new superbike do not replace the gap created in the line by dropping the ST. And as competent as the Multistrudel is/was, it still is... um... athestically challenged. A "polarizing design" would be the understatement of the decade (and this from a proud Terblanche-penned SBK!).
It's good you've got a really nice ST4, Charles - they're gonna be rare as hens teeth.
