Default Re: Driving in Austin

We used to live off 620 by the Iguana Grill and Hill Country Pasta House. In the AM- leave around 7 and get downtown in about 45 minutes (if there is an accident- you really only have one other alternate route). If you let the 7:15 rush get ahead of you coming out of Steiner Ranch you can add another 10 minutes on to the drive.

Going home at night if you leave at 5 anticipate about 1 hour to get home. Thats on average from what we experienced- and part of the reason we moved closer to town. Without traffic you are looking at about 30 minutes either way.

Be sure to let me know what builder/neighborhood you are looking at. THere are 2 out there that are a real financial mess due to teh builders bankruptcy and no HOA being formed. The houses sound like good deals, but you will be stuck!! pm me if you want some more dirt.
