Also funny: Turn 12. They said 80% of the get-offs are at turn 12. I thought that was an exaggeration, but I've never been on that track before. Even though there's a runoff into the hot pit, you can barely see the red and white curbing from all of the rubber in that section. Plenty of reference points!

Sportbiketracktime just made oil plug wiring mandatory for Advanced and strongly recommended for Inters for the first time this season. In all fairness though 90% of all oil plug and filter failiures were on club racers in the Advanced group (STT's stats not mine), so it's not unexpected.

The worst oil related problem I saw was funnily enough on a M620ie which I think blew every oil seal in the engine simultaneously , there was smoke and spray everywhere. Fortunately though the lady was way off the race line and 200 yards from pit out, I felt really sorry for her and we couldn't fix it on the spot so no more track. :-[

In other news, several track companies in this neck of the woods are making more and more noise about safety wiring AND full belly pans, I guess business is good enough that they can afford to just cater for the dedicated track rider. One even wants kickstands removed.
I'm not sure it's a good sign or not.
