Glad I did not have that experience on my 3 Ducatis, I would be riding another brand. I'm just trying to stay light hearted about it because otherwise I'd like to ghost ride it off the Woodrow Wilson. I already had my 600 service awhile ago with a $1500 repair to the bike since then. Right now I am at ~1,200 miles. As far as ownership experience this has been the worst. I even rode my '90 GS recently because I wanted a reliable & fun ride.

But you are right my dreams of what owning a Duc would be like are so far dashed. Except for the proverbial, "Wow is that yours? Nice!" comments there hasn't been much fun to the whole experience. I kick myself for not going the SV650 route by staying with what I knew, Suzuki. My other riding friends like to give me the "Whoa. You mean it's not in the shop again?" every time we go out. However, I'm sure Ducati is a fine brand and I'm not trying to bash it but I guess they don't put too much into this "budget" bike. I'll take your advice though and find out exactly what is wrong this time. Once little thing that bothers me but seems to sum up the entire enchilada is that the "Monster 695" decals can't even stay glued on. Came back from a ride one time and they were gone seemly blown off while riding. My GS still has its and it is 18 years old!
Thanks for letting me rant, I feel a little better 'bout it now.
