Not dramatic but a good story...
My dad had a motorcycle when I was growing up so when I was little, I remember my mom making a deal with my dad that my brother couldn't ever get a bike and me and my sister would never wear bikinis -- wtf. Thing is, my brother had no interest in motorcylces and nobody was gonna stop me from wearing a bikini. Fllash forward 30 years later, out of nowhere I decide I want a motorcyle after riding a scooter in India, so I take the course, take the advice of friends -- start out w/ a cruiser, get something small, maybe a Buell. What does my dad say? "Get a Ducati." he still rides and has several bikes, none of which has ever been a duc so I dunno where that came from... but that's what I got.
still wear a bikini too. He is still not okay with that.
