Default Shipping a Bike From Guam . . . What's the Downside?

Hey guys, long story.

Several years ago I was living in Atlanta, but had to travel to Guam on business. While I was there, I noticed how cheap bikes were, even late model bikes. I remember being really tempted to buy a used Yamaha Warrior and ship it to Atlanta. For the price, even if it was $1,000 to ship, I could have made a killing.

Anyway, fast forward to a few weeks ago. I accidentally clicked on Guam instead of Hawaii on the craigslist and saw all these cheap bikes. It reminded of how cheap they were in Guam.

Well, as luck would have it I'm going to be travelling to Guam again very soon. I was checking out Craiglists and saw a bunch of nice bikes like this one:

I was wondering, if I bought a bike in Guam and shipped it to Hawaii, how much trouble woudl it be to register it in Hawaii? I assume that these are all US models, so I wouldn't have any problems, but may be I'm wrong. I don't want the nightmare that the owner of that Euro-spec 748s is having.

Also, what more would I have to pay once the bike got here? Taxes? Customs tariff? I guess I'm wondering if there really would be a cost savings and whether it'd be worth the trouble.

Does anyone have the answers to these questions or know of anyone who bought a bike in guam and shipped it to HI (private sale, not military transfer)?
