Actually, I never liked the "transformer" Vanson approach. Seemed too cluttered and prone to failure. I'd rather have a solid and a perf'ed set. I realize that seems extravagent, but face it, after a while, you'll collect a bunch of kit anyway.
I now have full sets of cordura, perf'ed leather and solid leather. I have the right 2pc for anything!
