Thanks for the post. I currently have a Vanson jacket but will definetly think twice on my next purchase. I was initially very happy with my jacket and still am with the leather and cut. However, I now realize that they are not the best value. A $500 jacket should at least come with basic street armor. I should't have to shell out an extra 130 bucks to add shoulder and elbow armor, as well as a back protector. There are a TON of other jackets that come with full armor as well as removable liners, for much cheaper. Vanson is better quality? It may be. The leather and cut is great. But I wasn't too impressed when my sleeve stiching started unraveling after one crash. Vanson should stand behind their product and cover such repairs, especially since we are paying a premium for their product.
Vanson dudes, if your'e reading this, its time to cater to your clients needs as well as assess what is being offered by your competitors. You are not the only motorcycle leather apparel company out there, and people are starting to look elsewhere.
