This Month's Featured Bike:
Nick's 2001 Monster S4 Senna

2001 Monster S4 Senna.
My very first Ducati bought new from Cycle Riders Longwood.
I first saw it on line, called the dealer to see if they had one and was told YES.. So I truck down there and look around the showroom and don't see it.
I ask one of the sales people, they said they keep the Sennas in the crate otherwise they wouldn't be able to sell any other colors.

So I put a deposit down and picked it up a week later.
That's where my obsession with Ducatis began.
I started with small mods like carbon fiber mirrors, rear cowl, and smaller signals.
As time went on I decided to go all out and make it my very own. Mixing performance parts while keeping the true Monster aesthetics.
First and foremost, high mount Silmotor carbon pipes, man I love the sound, then made it even better with an open air box. Sounds like it'll suck you right through the fuel tank.

One of the first major mods that made a huge difference was the Ohlin rear shock with a remote preload adjuster. Then it was time to replace the clutch. So I decided to go slipper, STM Titanium with a 45 degree plane. WOW, that mod was one of the best thing I ever did to that bike.

Next performance mod, Ohlin forks off a 748R. this was a HUGE pain to install. I had to have the triples bored to make them fit. Then the stock risers didn't fit. So I ordered a set of billet risers from Cycle Cat...

Had the triples powder coated black to match the risers. Then the rotors wouldn't lign up with the calipers. I had to make 5mm stainless Steel spacers, then find 5mm longer caliper bolts.
Finally I had all the parts together and got everything installed. Now the bike felt like never before, absolutely incredible.
Last but not least was the DP steering damper, also made a big difference in handling.

So now it was time for some bling.
Bar end mirrors... they actually work.
Cycle Cat clutch cover, and of course matching Cycle Cat rear sets. This made the bike much more comfortable with endless amount of adjust ability.
I bought some Rizoma belt covers, didn't care for the billet look so i had those powder coated black.

Then it was time to trim the tail section, did the most common Monster mod, tail chop.
When that was done I installed Clear Alternatives integrated brake light assembly. which made the rear much narrower.
I also put a longer ride height adjuster to make it taller for my height, then needed a longer side stand to compensate for the height, also from Cycle Cat...

That's pretty much it, I love this bike not only because it was my first Ducati, but because it's my favorite to ride. It handles great, has plenty of power and looks bad ass, like a true hooligan should look.
