This Month's Featured Bike:
Warren Snell's 1999 M750 Dark -- Attack of the Carbon Duc!!

While this is only my second bike, it has quickly become something more than just a motorcycle.

I began riding about 8 years ago when i got my first bike at 19. While I was a car fanatic; relatively cheap, super fast and cool looking made a motorcycle an easy choice.

Born and raised in England, I grew up around BSAs and Triumphs. My Mom worked at Honda and told me about the time Barry Sheene took her out for a ride. The allure of bikes was too much.
Unfortunately my youth, exuberance led to a nasty spill on my EX500 when I ended up going head to head with a big yellow school bus! It took several years before I finally purchased this 1999 M750 dark.

The Ducati Monster was always my dream bike. It has a look that has attitude and finesse, brutality and delicacy.
I am a huge race fan and frequent Sear Point (ok, Infineon ) and Seca. Carbon Fiber, to some, looks industrial but to me it speaks performance and beauty. What I like about Carbon Dream bodywork is that the pieces flow together. The carbon weave is the same direction in the front fender to the tank to the side panels to the tail.

A modified tail on which I performed a partial chop and then shaved the Carbon Dreams tail to fit snugly under the brake light. I didn't like the large orange signal covers so those were removed and I used screen mesh to cover the light bulb. It still shines through!
I removed as much plastic as possible to clean it up and ripped out the emissions and air box.

Performance mods include:
- Remus Slip ons cut 3 inches.
- Stage 1 jet kit
- Yoyodyne Flywheel
- Iridium plugs and Magnecor red wires
- Uni Pod Filters
- Y7 Yuasa mini battery in custom tray

Suspension and Brakes:
- Hyperpro front springs
- Hyperpro rear spring (painted red, purple wouldn't go well )
- HEL red brake lines front and rear
- Ferado Platinum brake pads
- Carbon Dreams handlebar

Body and Engine trim:
- Red pinstriped rims
- Painted engine covers with red trim
- Painted foot brackets
- CRG mirrors
- Ducati Performance Carbon Guage with LED Tach
Most of this work was done by me in my spare time. Money is always and issue but I think the little custom touches you do yourself for free make it special. I would like to thank my dad for his mechanical assistance, my father in law, Larry, for his machine expertise (the pipes kick arse!). Big thanks to Strati for having the bit and pieces I needed. Of course my wife, Karen and son Noah for allowing me to disappear all afternoon .

This board is the best and I appreciate the opportunity to share my work. I hope to hear from other Central Valley monsters because I am always looking for riding buddies.

Thanks!!!
