I
was always into dirt bikes, I used to race motocross when I was
a kid. We (my son and I) still go dirt bike riding regularly.
I’ve had a few street bikes through the years (I’m 41 years old
now) mostly crotch rockets.

The Monster thing started for me when I saw a test on one in a magazine in 1994;
I loved the motorcycles look right away. But it was a test in 1995 where I saw
a custom monster, it was black with a red frame and wheels. It was awesome.
(I think I read every test ever done on Ducati monsters.)
So
anyhow, when I finally decided to get one, I was lucky enough
to see this bike on cycle trader. It was chrome and red already.
I loved the combo. I drove from PA to Kentucky to get it - but
it was worth it.
The Original owner of the bike was a Ducati
Mechanic. (He did most engine mods.) That gave me some confidence
when buying the bike that it had been maintained well. And it only
had 4500 miles on it.

The Bike:
1. High mount sils,I fit them extra high and tight by changing mounting
brackets
2. It was not a chromo to start with, the tank was chromed
3. Frame and wheels powdercoated red
4. All aluminum on bike (except engine) is polished
5. I found a guy on the internet that made me a cool short rear hugger C.F.
6.The seat cowl I put on is road racing polished alluminum (I wanted chrome
but could not find one.)
7. Little bar end mirrors are from the local bike shop
8. Short carbon fiber turn signals (My son gave me for Christmas)
9. I put a Batlax 180 rear tire on. (might try to squeeze a 190 on, I love
the the big rubber look)
10. Corbin seat
11. Carbon fiber front fender
12. Clip on bars
13. Chopped short tail with carbon fiber cover
 Engine:
1. High Compression pistons
2. The air box was opened up with K+N filter.
3. Jet Kit.
4. Light Fly wheel.
5. High performance plug wires (more for looks.Yellow).
6. I geared it down with a 13 counter shaft sprocket.
(worth while modification)
7. F.B.F. heavy clutch springs.
